Ben Blanton aka Vang Ghazi is no stranger to the DC music scene. An incredibly talented multi-instrumentalist and champion of all types of music - he's been attending shows in the DMV and playing in bands nearly all his life. His dedication to music is apparent with his impressive history of playing in bands such as VOG, Ambition Burning, Rise Defy, Basic Skills Review (BSR), Foehammer, HR Band, The Goons, & more in the past. Ben played drums actively in Fuzz Voyage & BloodStainedTeeth up until the time of his stroke.
In early February of 2024, Ben suffered a severe stroke which left him in a coma and fighting for his life. He's very thankfully been recovering, but the right side of his body is paralyzed and he remains hospitalized. He has a long journey ahead of him and he needs all the support that he can receive right now. It's the least we can do for Ben after all that he's selflessly given to the DC music scene for so many years.
