Evan Gross & The Derelict Casino

DMV native; Evan Gross grew up knowing he was meant to be on stage with a guitar in his hands, but lightening struck in 2015 when he found his voice to sing the songs he’d been writing all his life. Having been raised on a healthy musical diet of Rock n Roll, Evan’s newest project, The Derelict Casino, brings raw and honest songwriting together with the Alt Rock sounds of the 90’s and early 2000’s, which are evident in his 2023 debut single “Pathetic”. Evan now calls Nashville, TN home, where he is currently working on a full length record, scheduled for release in late 2024.

Melo Relo

Melo Relo is a Maryland-based singer-songwriter making an anticipated return to the D.C. indie space. Once a frequent rock performer in the College Park scene, Melo Relo turned to growing an online presence when Covid hit - releasing multiple high fidelity music videos and dropping some indie rock bangers like 'Morning After' and 'Tattoo'. Melo Relo's eclectic sound is a celebratory melting pot of his favorite genres including indie pop, grunge, and electronic music. His recent drop 'I might quit my job' is an angsty pop punk anthem reminiscent of All American Rejects and Blink-182. Expect upbeat, pop instrumentals with cutting melancholic storytelling that will have you dancing while considering calling your ex. Melo Relo is stoked to make their return to the Pocket in December, 2023.

Patrick Budd

Patrick Budd is a 24 year-old indie folk singer/songwriter from Poolesville, Maryland and based out of DC. He is a frequenter at open mics at The Pocket and around DC as well as the DMV Songwriters Showcase. He also takes his band, The Starwood Flyers, around the DMV area playing at different bars, breweries, and festivals alike. Taking what he’s learned from listening to great songwriters such as Noah Kahan, Zach Bryan, and Gregory Alan Isakov to name a few, Patrick uses lyrics to craft what it means to come from a small town and romanticize the haunting nostalgia of everything you’ve ever known. Patrick and The Starwood Flyers released their debut alternative folk rock EP “Out Into the Light” in 2022 and he continues to make new music as a solo artist.
