The Midnight Gardeners League (Genres - comedy, sketch, multimedia, comedy music):
The Midnight Gardeners League is Washington, DC and the world's only comedy secret society which combines stand-up, sketches, characters, and multimedia for unique live experiences. Since forming in 2017 to create more weird, wacky, and over-the-top comedy the Gardeners have gone on to produce dozens of sold-out shows at Wonderland Ballroom, The DC Improv, and City-State Brewing, as well as create videos, put out a satirical podcast, and tour extensively across the US.
Max Wolfson (Host):
Max Wolfson is a comedy and also regular person who migrated to DC from the wild mountains of Radford, Virginia. Often considered the “Max” of the group, he joined the Midnight Gardener’s League to further his goal of spending less time with his family. Blending a quick wit with outside-the-box ideas that are either very smart or very dumb, Max has smarmed and charmed audiences at the DC Improv, Caveat (NYC), The Glendale Room, on BYT’s Bentzen Ball, and hosts the Midnight Gardeners' comedy game shows Wrong Answers Only, Capitalism: The Game Show, and F*ck The Past.
Jenny Cavallaro (Genre - stand up, comedy):
Jenny Cavallaro is a DC-based comedian, writer, actor, and disabled person. She hosts the sober Seltzer Comedy show at Binge Bar DC and can be seen all over the DMV and beyond.
Dee Ahmed (Genre - stand up, comedy) :
Dee Ahmed is a stand-up comedian from Washington, DC. With his natural goofiness and sharp wit, Dee has crafted a unique comedic voice that is both insightful and hilarious. He is a regular performer at shows across the DC area, from open mic nights at local bars to comedy festivals around the country. Dee Ahmed has had the opportunity to perform alongside some of the biggest names in comedy, including Asif Ali, Steve-O, Ahmed Bharoocha, Quincy Jones, and many more.
Paul Mooney (Genre - folk, comedy, roots, comedy music) :
“Paul "Moonshine" Mooney is a comedian and musician in Washington DC. Their solo musical work is a wholly original and wildly entertaining blend of musical comedy on the piano and original folk music on the banjo. They are also a violinist, playing with the band Cecil & Delilah and other small collaborations. Comedically, they specialize in alternative comedy, utilizing songs, storytelling, presentations, and artifacts, in addition to traditional standup. They can be found on Instagram @paul.moonshine.
