Nomad The Native
Nomad the Native is a Maryland-based rapper & producer with a pension
for dizzying flows and heartfelt lyricism. Raised in Prince George's County,
Maryland, his love for music was born in his local skating rinks.
“When you’re grooving, going around in a circle with the music playing all
around you, it’s like you’re the needle on a record,” Nomad vividly explains.
Grounded by a love for storytelling and conversational music from artists
such as Outkast, Jay-Z, Phonte, MF DOOM, J. Cole, Jill Scott, Saba, Erykah
Badu, Lauryn Hill, Kendrick Lamar, and Black Thought, he aims to carry on a
tradition of making music that reflects real life and begs to be replayed.
To call Nomad the Native solely a rapper is a complete disservice to the
talent and raw versatility that he presents in every track. On top of this, his
ear for production is immaculate and full of flavor, it’s not just about finding
the next “banger”. “You can expect to hear a lot of musicality, I work with a
lot of instrumentalists,” the Native explains. With the pandemic taking over
the last few years Nomad the Native has spent that time working and
reflecting on what’s next.

She utilizes a loop pedal to curate beats and her own BGVS. Some of her influences include; Jazmine Sullivan, Mary Mary, & Pj Morton. Gëtte says "I don't want you to just hear me, I want you to feel me." New music on the way!
