Soundwaves

Soundwaves is an instrumental improvisational funk rock experience. Soundwaves is comprised of Ben Green on sax, Wes Anderson on Guitar,Matt Segel on Drums, and Dan Kehoe on Bass. Soundwaves started in the summer of 2021, when saxophonist Ben Green wanted to start to lead his own band again. Ben had a vision to combine instrumental funk with a harder, heavier alternative rock guitar style. Ben formed Soundwaves in July 2021, and recorded 2 tracks at Wright Way Studios with acclaimed producer Nate Lanzino.

Since Soundwaves' formation, Soundwaves has opened for Thumpasarus at the Ottobar, and the Chris Timbers Band at the Pocket. Soundwaves has played additional shows at Zen West in Towson, and Baltimore Soundstage. Soundwaves is thrilled to be back at the Pocket playing with our good friends the Lindsay Collette Trio and Yutzi. Soundwaves plans to continue to rock alternative-inspired instrumental funk into the future

Yutzi

In one year as a band, going from playing backyard parties to some of the best rock music venues in the region, YUTZI’s explosive bluesy, funky, psychedelic rock sound has been compared to the likes of Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Cream, and The Grateful Dead.

Lindsay Collette

No stranger to fronting bands, Lindsay Collette (of Mona Speaks Mountains) has made the sequential jump into the world of solo projects -- A terrain, in her mind, with NO RESTRICTIONS. LC's tongue-in-cheek signature style is inspired by the likes of Kathleen Hanna, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and The Donnas. Her lyrics take on the topics of misogyny, social injustice, and building self-worth in a culture that can be self-righteously tone-deaf. It's a FIGHT! And Lindsay is there at the front line. Her music amplifies the subject matter by being unapologetically bold. Taking elements of rock, punk, and pop she creates a sound that is aggressive and refined, presenting a fresh take on the Riot Grrrl movement. Backed by Mike Falcon (drums) and Hailey Peters (bass), Lindsay Collette is BACK and better than ever!
