Strutman Lane
From the outskirts of DC, a group of young men with a mutual love of funk and pop came together to breathe sensuality into new original music. Starting with their 2021 debut single, “I Want You To Know”, Strutman Lane’s rhythm guitar hooks, warm vocals, and driving sax lines cater spiritual pocket grooves to the soul. As former jazz school classmates, each member continues to spend at least 30 minutes a day working modal interchange, so rest assured you’re getting your money’s worth. For better or for worse, Strutman Lane will make you rethink your life choices.
The Restatements
The Restatements are a rock band out of Washington, DC formed by three friends in law school. Not only did J.R. Molm (Vocals, Lyrics, Rhythm Guitar), Jarred Barlow (Bass, Guitars, Programming), and Zack Hawkins (Lead Guitar) all live in the same on-campus building, they had identical class schedules too. Inspired by a blend of contemporary pop and classic rock, The Restatements aim to capture the importance of expression, integrity, and having a good time — even when there are a million different things to worry about.
Mental Notes
Mental Notes is a solo project by Maryland native Daniel Butko that draws sonic elements from a variety of genres such as alternative, psych rock, R&B, hip-hop, and layers it all with a raw flare to create a new blend of sounds.
