Uptown Boys Choir
Uptown Boys Choir is comprised of bassist Kevin de Souza, keyboardist Joel Hicks, guitarists Brian Pagels and Kate Potrykus, and percussionist Ben Tufts. Once you get over the fact that their shows feature neither children nor choral music, you’ll find yourself enjoying an energetic repertoire that nods to the disparate influences of all five members. Their 2019 release, “Get Help,” is at times introspective, self-deprecating, funny, and heartbreaking, with captivatingly honest lyrics throughout.
Jasmine Gillison
Jasmine Gillison has been mesmerizing audiences with her heartfelt lyrics and intimate songs for over 12 years in the DC area and beyond. With intricate fingerpicking style, arresting vocals, and a knack for storytelling, you are bound to be taken on a journey. Jasmine released her first album “Little Light” in 2018, followed by the 2020 single “Concrete”, which was nominated for Best Pop Song and Best Rock Song in the 2021 Washington Area Music Awards (Wammies). Jasmine and her full band are excited to reunite for the first time in over a year for this special show.
The Sisters
The Sisters are two singer-songwriters from Virginia and occasionally their friends. They play their own songs and other peoples’ songs. They are folksy, bluesy, swampy, and in two-part harmony.
