Ari Voxx & The Sad Lads
Ari Voxx is a 2022 Wammie finalist and DC-native who's been performing and writing music for years. Previously known for her jazz and neo-soul vocals, she now focuses on writing music that is authentically her, transcending genres, with influences like Cocteau Twins, The Cure, Soundgarden, and Imogen Heap. Now featuring her band, The Sad Lads, Ari’s sound is dreamy, indie, and melancholic - expect to feel retro vibes, catchy melodies, smooth, buttery vocals, and emotional lyricism. This performance will be a newly curated electronic set, featuring Ryan Boshart and Jegug Ih on guitars and synths.
Inside Voices
Inside Voices founding members I.K. David and Paul Burghard met playing open mic nights in Washington, DC. Connected by a mutual love of guitar-heavy, riff-driven Indie Rock and smooth R&B sounds the two quickly crafted a repertoire of original music emulating their favorite styles.
Inside Voices’ music blends I.K.’s R&B-inspired guitar melodies, lush vocal harmonies, and melancholic lyricism with Paul's emotive backing vocals and percussion, Paul Wevers' groovy rhythmic basslines, and Orlando Jove's lyrical guitar leads.
DiToro
DiToro has been writing songs and performing since she was a kid. Born into a musical family, music ran through her blood and she connected with it instantly. After playing in cover bands for years in order to make a living as a full time musician, DiToro kept writing and recording music, in hopes to one day sing her own songs.
Finding her voice as an original artist has been a journey of discovery. A self professed “Nostalgia Addict,” she’s heavily influenced by the 90s/00s music she grew up with. DiToro packs a punch with her catchy punk riffs, melodic pop hooks and high energy live show!
