Eyefish Ink

Eyefish Ink is a indie psychedelic rock and Alt-pop project formed in 2023, currently working on the production of an LP. Eyefish Ink is influenced by the likes of Tame Impala, La Vida Boheme, Clairo, the Strokes, electronic acts such as Odesza, as well as classical pop groups like The Beatles. Eyefish Ink is the love child of two projects joint together: GENE (Genesis’ solo project ) and SASN(Simon’s solo project) into one band. Eyefish Ink’s songs explore the ups and downs of life, immigration to the USA, mental health, psychological self-exploration and is heavily influenced by 60s psychedelia, 80s synth wave as modern pop acts. Genesis Arocha, the lead singer the lead multimedia producer for El Tiempo Latino, a DC based Hispanic newspaper, and Simon Santodomingo is an activist for Greenpeace USA.

Leave a Message

We are a majority queer and all BIPOC band. We’ll be doing some songs on the theme of freedom & liberation, which fuses my community organizing experience with my passion for music. Previously I was in a rock n roll band, later moved on to punk, and now “Leave a Message” is a more soulful project. I’ve performed at Galactic Panther with Nadie Nadia, Southpaw Café and Community Center, and of course at your open mic.

Catherine Savage

"Catherine Savage writes to understand and be understood. Drawing from reality and fiction alike, Savage's new EP "Back Problems" brings evocative lyricism to the forefront of a sound that is somewhere between indie rock, alt-country, and jazz. Inspired by artists such as Joanna Newsom, Judee Sill, and Julia Jacklin, Savage uses her music to explore what it means to love, to shapeshift beneath another's gaze, and to find oneself in the act of gazing back."
